3. Your Documents

You retain all rights to documents, images, and PDF files that you scan, import, or modify using Scanit. Scanit does not claim ownership of your documents or their contents.

4. Document Modification and Unlocking

Scanit provides tools to modify, redact, and remove password protection from PDF files. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right, ownership, or explicit permission to access, modify, or unlock any document you process using the app. The developer is not liable for any unauthorized modification or decryption of documents.

5. Local Processing

Scanit processes scanned documents locally on your device. We do not upload, share, or store your documents on any external servers. You are completely in control of your data.

6. Data Loss

While Scanit is designed to process and store documents locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important documents. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for loss of data resulting from device failure, operating-system behavior, accidental deletion, or other events outside the developer's control.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use Scanit for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the app, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws). You must not use the PDF unlocking feature to bypass security on documents you are not authorized to alter.

8. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the app or any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer of Scanit be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the app.
